ATHLETICS - After a successful rebuild this spring, expectations for the BDS ultimate team are high for next year with the return of the team's top handler (Tim Sandin) and leading scorer (Jack Huysmans). Sophie Dornstein’s return to the lineup gave girls’ lacrosse a lift during their hard fought 8-6 loss to Pike this week. Naomi Stephenson and Katey Finnerty also had strong games. Ethan Levy and Alex Kim continued their stellar defensive play in boys’ lacrosse’s 7-2 loss against Pike this week. The Blue & Gold finished their season with a record of 2-5-1. Paolo Cima (#2) and James Wade (#3) had convincing wins at singles this week, but Belmont Day dropped the overall match 5-3. Philippe Pitts and Madison Liesching won at #1 doubles. Jameson Sparks (5:58) and Carter Wood (7:46) swept the 1600m in track's lopsided win over Lesley Ellis this week. Dylan Lasry (11’0”) and Anji Friedbauer (11’11”) both won the LJ.
