Special Programs/Features We believe that students learn best when the materials they study are intellectually captivating-not a hodge-podge of unrelated units but rather a coherent set of related literary, historical and cultural materials. To that end, part of our curriculum is devoted to thematic or, what is sometimes called interdisciplinary learning. The theme is not a unit of study but a vehicle which synthesizes and consolidates children's learning. Our program includes specialists for world language, science, library, art, music, physical education, interscholastic sports and an extended day program.
