| Special Programs/Features | Friends Academy is a place for reaching and reveling in the challenge. The demanding academic curriculum is enriched by offerings in world languages, technology, art, music, drama, library, and physical education. Highlights of our program include Spanish beginning in grade one, Latin in grade six, personal laptop computers issued to each student in the Upper Division, fall and spring musicals, and competitive sports year-round. Our Outdoor Education program offers an on-campus state-of-the-art high and low ropes course and canoeing on the Paskamansett River which runs through the campus. |

Friends Academy, established 1810, is a coeducational day school on a 65-acre campus in N. Dartmouth, MA. Friends serves children from PS through grade 8 in either traditional classrooms or in classes taught at The Sally Borden School, a school-within-a-school for children with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia. A Friends Academy education is characterized by its rigorous curriculum, innovative teaching techniques, and a focus on social and ethical development.
