The Gordon School was founded in 1910 by a female pediatrician for her son Gordon. Today, Gordon continues to be the choice for families who seek a coeducational environment that challenges both the intellects and imaginations of elementary and middle school students. Eighth graders benefit from a secondary school placement process that results in graduates entering high schools of their choice as scholars, leaders, and good citizens. The school's longtime commitment to being a racially diverse institution extends throughout the student body, faculty, Board of Trustees and administration.

Lunchtime tap lesson
A third grader prepares for this afternoon's three-and-a-half-hour rehearsal with a quick lunchtime tap lesson from a seventh grader.
The third and fourth grade production of The Adventures of Flat Stanley debuts on Wednesday at 6:30pm. The performances are free and open to the public.
This impromptu lesson took place in the Middle School music classroom, which was created by two partitions in the corner of the old gym. The performances next week will be on the stage in the Activity Room. Learn how both of these spaces will be transformed by the Second Century Campaign, at http://www.gordonschool.org/secondcentury
