| Special Programs/Features | Academic programs include honors and Advanced Placement classes. There are six formal exchange programs and many international study abroad opportunities. Governor's has 47 interscholastic teams and 23 varsity sports. The Academy competes in the Independent School League (ISL) and has earned its share of ISL and New England titles. There are 60 extracurricular groups and activities. The Academy has won more awards in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards competition than any other private secondary school. Our facilities include a 500-seat Performing Arts Center and a black box/dance studio. |

Founded in 1763, The Governor's Academy is the oldest continuously operating boarding school in America.
