This year AISNE will again offer a full-day workshop for new teachers, in lieu of its 3-day Beginning Teacher Institute.

This workshop is designed specifically to address the needs of first year teachers in middle and secondary schools.  The workshop is intended to supplement and enrich each school's support of its beginning teachers.   The new teachers are provided with a timely opportunity for structured reflection on strengths and problem areas.  There will be a particular focus on classroom management and types of classroom activities that engage students.  This full-day workshop is a valuable and worthwhile investment in your new teachers.

Participants will:

-Leave with sample lessons and activities that can be used in the classroom.
