Special Programs/Features Moses Brown includes three developmentally distinct schools: lower, middle, and upper. While each follows an age-appropriate program, with the expected opportunities of a whole child curriculum and a rigorous college-prep program, faculty design numerous shared experiences. For example, eleventh grade students guide eighth grade through a week-long analysis of poetry, upper school drama students help second grade write their own plays, fifth graders lead younger buddies to Meeting each week. In the process, children develop a unique sense of accountability that benefits all in our community.

Founded in 1784, Moses Brown is a Quaker school enrolling 765 girls and boys, from an Early Learning Program (nursery-preK) through grade 12. The school's founder — an innovative thinker, philanthropist, and entrepreneur named Moses Brown — envisioned a progressive school that defined excellence. Here, faculty emphasize process as much as content; the curriculum prepares students for a globally-interconnected world; and Quaker values impart an ethical mindset grounded in tolerance and respect for differences, the willingness to confront injustice, and the desire to do both well and good.
