Phillips Academy, Andover, is a coed, independent high school of 1,100 students, known for its rigorous academic program. Founded in 1778, the Academy educates “outstanding youth from every quarter…to depart as thoughtful, versatile, responsible participants in the global community." With a faculty of 220, the Academy offers 300 courses and a student:faculty ratio of 5:1. Resources include the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library, Gelb Science Center, two museums, and facilities for performing and fine arts. More than 80 clubs and 30 athletic teams round out the Andover experience.

Last night, Barbara Chase announced her final Head of School Day in dramatic fashion, entering Paresky Commons covertly through a back door and climbing a set of construction steps to raise her field hockey stick from on high. "Party Rock" was definitely in the house last night!

Ess III Professor of Law and Vice Dean for Library and Information Resources at Harvard Law School, was announced as the 15th Head of School of Phillips Academy. In this video, Peter L.S.
