Waynflete School seeks an inventive and engaging English teacher to begin in August for the 2019-2020 school year. Responsibilities will include teaching in both the middle and upper schools, advising in the upper school, and overseeing co-curricular activities and/or coaching. A wide range of knowledge of literature, both classic and contemporary, and a commitment to teaching writing is required. A competitive applicant will also have a passion for innovative teaching, experience in discussion-centered learning, and a background in integrating texts that honor diversity. Significant teaching experience, experience in similar school environments, and an advanced degree are preferred but not required.
