Newton Country Day School has an opening for an Admission and Multicultural Outreach Coordinator to join a busy Admission Office. This is a full-time, ten-month position from mid-August to mid-June each year. The Admission and Multicultural Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and will work closely with the admission team as well as interact with the Communications Office, Director of Diversity, and the faculty. Responsibilities will include guiding prospective families through the application process; preparing for special events such as Parent Coffees, Open House, Curriculum Night, and Shadow Days; building relationships with feeder schools and community organizations throughout greater Boston, particularly those with underrepresented populations; attending school fairs and other outreach events; and working with Ravenna Solutions, our web-based application system. There will be occasional evening and weekend events.
We seek candidates with strong organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills; the ability to manage multiple projects; technical aptitude, and a friendly, positive demeanor. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Knowledge of independent schools is a plus, as well as conversational Spanish or Mandarin. Candidates must be comfortable interacting with girls age 9-18 and their parents. Newton Country Day is a member of the International Network of Sacred Heart Schools and offers a challenging curriculum and extensive extracurricular activities for girls in Grade 5-12.
