Groton School is seeking a full time Athletic Trainer. This individual will work closely with the Head Athletic Trainer in the prevention and care of athletic injuries and ultimately report to the Director of Athletics. The typical work week will be 35-40 hours per week, while school is in session. Full benefits included. Travel required. Responsibilities include assisting with the rehabilitation of injured athletes, administering baseline concussion testing, collating required student medical/safety protocol forms, scheduling and transporting athletes to appointments, and collaborating with colleagues to help educate coaches and athletes on latest trends pertaining to injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, and safe coaching practices. Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine Required, MA Licensed or eligible, in accordance with the MA State Rules and Regulations Governing the practice of 259 CMR 4.00: Athletic Trainers, the NATA Code of Ethics and Board of Certification Standards of Professional Practice, and CPR/AED Certified.
