Kents Hill School is at a pivotal moment in its almost 200-year-old history. Our new Head of School has brought a clear educational vision, a global perspective, and a strengthened focus on developing the whole student through a balanced, intentional, and purposeful curriculum.

This position will serve as a key member of the Communications and Marketing team and will be responsible for capturing and sharing the mission and work of Kents Hill School with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have the vision, skills, and experience to digitally capture the many aspects of the Kents Hill experience (academics, student life, arts, athletics, etc.) and strategically share them with prospective students and families, current students and families, alumni, and more. They will partner closely with the Admissions Office to develop marketing strategies for each step of the consumer lifecycle with a special focus on building the “top” of the Admissions funnel through social media, website, and advertising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Video Production: Own end-to-end planning, production, and distribution of numerous short-form videos [at least five 0:30-1:30 minute videos per week] that capture the overall student experience, academic program, residential program, athletics and extracurricular activities, and strategic priorities
  • Photography: Serve as a photographer for school events and develop a mechanism for distributing photo albums/compilations of student life on campus to parents and guardians
  • Social Media: Plan, produce, and execute coordinated social media campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that leverage paid social advertising and audience targeting/retargeting
  • Advertising: Generate advertising content and collateral in support of strategic priorities
  • Website: Produce engaging website content on a regular basis and ensure positive user experience
  • Analytics: Analyze various data sources to continuously refine direction and deliverables

NOTE: On-Campus housing is not available. Candidates for this position must live in Maine or be willing to relocate. Ideal candidates will have the ability and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and other non-traditional schedules based on school happenings and events.
