 About You

You have an eye for detail and a passion for coordinating logistics. You are a highly productive self-starter who knows how to calmly juggle multiple competing priorities with patience, grace, and humility. Others trust and rely on your clear and effective communication style, and you have proven yourself as a team play who can get the job done while demonstrating a sense of humor and sound judgment.  

To be successful in this role, you must be able to:

  • Process and distribute student attendance twice daily; updating arrivals/dismissals throughout the day
  • Coordinate daily bus transportation for students and campers, creating daily lists for each bus
  • Provide bus drivers with an end-of-day student/camper roster
  • Politely greet and provide assistance and directions to all campus visitors, students, and employees
  • Answer and respond in a timely, professional, and pleasant manner to all telephone calls
  • Deliver messages, transfer calls, and arrange to usher students to various destinations on campus
  • Communicate with parents and other constituents by telephone, email, or in person
  • Communicate with maintenance staff, bus drivers, and other colleagues using a hand radio
  • Perform general office duties (e.g. copy, scan, mail, etc.) to support the administrative team and other auxiliary programs offered by the school.
  • Assist and provide administrative support for members of the main office, campus programs assistant, and others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of full-time experience working with the public in a business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database entry and management
  • Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Demonstrated organizational skills; the ability to multitask, work independently, and juggle competing priorities while maintaining patience, grace, and humility
  • Effective interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse constituencies within and beyond the School community
  • Ability to troubleshoot and calmly handle emergency situations
  • Can-do attitude and a willingness to work within a team environment and assist others
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to remain at a work station for extended periods of time
  • Ability to independently walk moderate distances on campus, navigate campus terrain in all weather conditions, and ascend and descend stairs
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up materials weighing up to 20 pounds
