The Cambridge School of Weston (CSW), is searching for a coach to lead its Varsity Cross Country team (coed) in the upcoming fall season (late August-mid November). Practices run Monday through Friday starting at 3:15 pm and depending on the day range from 1-2 hours in duration. Meets will require a greater time commitment, however, there are no weekend meets currently scheduled.
Skills and Qualifications:
The coach must be knowledgeable about the skills and strategies of the sport and is responsible for providing a safe environment for players during practices and meets. They must possess effective coaching techniques and skills as well as knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Prior experience as a varsity or junior varsity cross country coach at the high school level and/or club level is preferred. First Aid and CPR/AED certification is required.
All new hired are required to complete and pass state and national background check via CORI and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts law requiring fingerprint-based background checks. All employees at The Cambridge School of Weston are also required to participate in the Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Empowerment program.
