Reporting directly to the Head of School, who places high priority on philanthropic initiatives, the Chief Development Office (CDO) will serve as a member of the senior leadership team and oversee a fully integrated advancement effort for CSW. They will be joining a community that honors diversity and will be responsible for the overall strategy, design, and coordination of philanthropy and engagement for an advancement program that is growing and embraced by the CSW community. The CDO will manage a Director of Annual Giving and Database Administrator and will have the opportunity to recruit a new Director of Alumni/ae and Parent Engagement upon arrival. The CDO will be an experienced, talented fundraiser and relationship builder ready for a position where innovation is encouraged, and growth is necessary. Successful candidates will have experience in campaign design and implementation, annual giving, constituent relations, and major and planned giving, and will come with a track record of growing alumni/ae and parent engagement. The CDO will be a strategic leader who is passionate about CSW, as well as its unique approach to education and fundraising potential. They will have the skills to leverage the entrepreneurial and creative initiatives needed to maximize results and broaden the relationships across the school community to increase philanthropic support for school priorities. The candidate will present with outstanding leadership and management competencies and the ability to partner and work well with a Board of Trustees, senior administrative colleagues across the school, staff at a variety of levels, and other volunteers.
