Moses Brown School is a co-educational independent day school for nursery through twelfth grade. Responsibilities: The successful applicant will teach 3 to 4 sections of French that may range from French 1 to AP French. While the position focuses on teaching French, a candidate’s ability to teach an introductory or intermediate Spanish course will be taken into consideration. The hired teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues in the World Languages Department, which includes Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Latin teachers. All full-time teachers also supervise co-curricular activities after school for 2 of the 3 seasons of the academic year. After the first year at Moses Brown, teachers assume responsibility for a group of Upper School advisees.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution. Two to five years of teaching experience is preferred, although not a requirement for application. Master’s degree or beyond is desirable. We seek candidates who are passionate about their desire to teach, advise, and learn from high school students, as well as those who are eager to embrace and forward the Quaker mission of the school. The position begins at the start of the 2021 - 22 school year.
