The Cambridge-Ellis School, Cambridge, MA is seeking a Preschool Teacher for our
afternoon Spanish Immersion classroom. The ideal candidate is a native Spanish
speaker, fluent in English, with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience with young
children. EEC preschool teacher certification is required.
This teacher will:
- Be both literate and fluent in Spanish
- Have excellent communication skills with both children and adults
- Have a warm and energetic personality and a good sense of humor
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing a preschool Spanish program
- Leading a team and working collaboratively with 2 other Spanish teachers
- Progress report writing 3x/year.
CES is a non-profit, NAEYC accredited school serving children ages 2-6 years old. We
provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating learning environment through emergent
curriculum planning and by using an inquiry-based approach for teaching and learning.
Our unique Preschool Language Program offers immersion language classes in
Mandarin, French, and Spanish for preschoolers. The school draws inspiration from the
philosophy of John Dewey, the Reggio-Emilia approach to learning, and the pedagogy of
Frances and David Hawkins.

CES offers a competitive and generous compensation package. Our school year runs
from September through early June. Teachers have the opportunity to work in our 8-
