Help Desk Specialist
Watkinson School, offering inventive teaching and learning since 1881, seeks a full-time Help Desk Specialist. As a member of the Information Technology Department, the Help Desk Specialist provides first-tier technical support for students, faculty, and staff; support ticket processing and delegation; process and end-user documentation; equipment reservation and tracking; multimedia equipment setup; installation and configuration of school hardware and software (Chromebook, Mac and Windows); and general departmental assistance.
The Help Desk Specialist works closely with faculty and students supporting their needs and reports to the Director of Technology. The successful candidate will have strong technology skills, flexibility, attention to detail, willingness to continually learn, strong communication and organizational skills, patience, and a sense of perspective and humor. The candidate should come with work experience in a school setting and be committed to anti-racist education with a focus on inclusivity. They should be open to taking on consultative work with classroom teachers on educational resources--access, availability and appropriateness.
