St. John’s Prep is an inclusive, Catholic, Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School for young men in grades 6 through 12. St. John’s is seeking a long-term, high school substitute teacher of English to cover a family leave from March 9, 2020 through June 4, 2020. English faculty members in the High School at St. John’s teach four sections and may be assigned additional supervisory duties.  Classes meet five times within a seven-day rotating schedule.

We seek a teacher who promotes curiosity and inquiry among students, engages all learners, uses technology as a vehicle for learning gains, and works with students to connect content to the real world in the classroom setting. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in English. Previous teaching experience in high school or middle school is desirable.
