Worcester Academy is looking for three dynamic educators with a love for high school students and experience with multicultural curriculum and pedagogy, and a willingness to collaborate with others, to fill in for 2019 Fall semester through to December Holiday break. One or more of these opportunities could extend through a Fellowship until 2019-2020 academic year end for the right qualified instructor. Starting date is August 14, 2019, $100 per diem through the first 20 instructional days, and then step structure based on experience and education. We offer an opportunity to work in a positive and stimulating classroom environment with eager, engaged learners with an average class size of 14.

Core Responsibilities/Expectations

Responsibilities include providing classroom coverage of at least (4) four sessions/courses, works the regular hours of the absent classroom teacher, assesses student work, maintains grading and attendance for students, and prepareslessons as needed that are designed to engage students in their learning. 


Worcester Academy seeks candidates who will reflect and enhance the racial, cultural, and gender diversity of our school. A bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
