The Meadowbrook School of Weston, a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Weston, MA, seven miles west of Boston, is seeking a lower school science educator (senior kindergarten-5th grade) to join our faculty for the 2021-2022 school year. Meadowbrook is a mission-driven school and we invite candidates to familiarize themselves with our mission before applying for the position.

A successful candidate will be a science educator who values inquiry, project based-learning, and collaboration amongst faculty to benefit the learning and development of our lower school students. We are committed to offering students a well-rounded, rigorous education and our program often challenges students beyond their grade level, particularly in reading and in math.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and teach SK-5 science curriculum
  • Track and monitor the science learning of all students
  • Provide accommodations and modifications for growth and success of all students
  • Celebrate student work by posting in blogs, Meadowbrook messages, and other communication channels
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate content
  • Liaise with other science faculty to align scope and sequence
  • Coordinate with technology, art, and math teachers on STEAM programming
  • Collaborate with Director of Eureka Lab to engage students in the design thinking process
  • Write progress reports and attend parent conferences
  • Attend LS division meetings and full faculty meetings

At Meadowbrook, smart, passionate people join together in an expansive learning environment with rigorous academics and innovative curricula to inspire, challenge, and empower students to achieve at the highest level, connect deeply with a diverse community, and courageously create change.
