Montrose seeks to appoint an innovative, experienced full-time teacher of math to join our strong and collegial Mathematics Department starting in August 2020. The successful candidate will be an accomplished teacher of math and an innovative educator who brings a passion and enthusiasm for helping adolescents acquire and achieve a high level of proficiency in math. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic department that encourages Growth Mindset in students through exceptional student skill development, a hands-on approach to teaching, and positive student-teacher relationships. Candidates must be comfortable working one-on-one with students and be open and accessible as extra-help; these are important components of being a math teacher at Montrose. Candidates must also have proficiency and comfort with technology and delivering blended learning. Strong applicants should have significant coursework in a relevant subject (a master’s degree is preferred, but not required), an interest in curriculum development, at least three years of classroom experience, and an appreciation for all-girls’ education.
