Part-Time Teacher - Science

The Fenn School seeks candidates for a part-time position teaching one section of general lab science for grade six. Teaching experience is preferred, and candidates should have a solid background in working with middle school aged students. An interest in collaborative work with other teachers and experience with science curriculum development are desired.

The school’s science program requires teachers to facilitate a hands-on, lab-oriented program, to implement a technology-rich curriculum (Fenn is a 1-1 iPad school for grades 6-9), and to incorporate relevant elements of sustainability. Experience with project-based learning and an understanding of design thinking practices are beneficial although not required to apply.

Fenn has been recognized for its leadership in diversity and multicultural education, and the School is fully committed to a culturally-diverse faculty and student body. A successful candidate will, therefore, be a proactive and collaborative educator who believes in the importance of diversity in the life of a school and can support Fenn’s mission in his/her work with students, parents, faculty, and staff.  The School is also eager to consider applications from traditionally underrepresented groups.

Interested candidates are asked to submit a letter of interest, resume, statement of educational philosophy and contact information for professional references via email attachment to:
