The Black@... social media trend has cut across public and private, urban and rural, large and small schools around the country. In the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, Black youth across the country took to social media platforms to share their experiences with micro-aggressions and other forms of bias at their schools. The influence of BLM on this trend was unmistakable, using social media to raise awareness about bias and anti-blackness and making sure that the voices of those impacted are heard. Current students and alumni are sharing stories.

This AISNE Insights session is a follow-up dialogue to our two-part September workshop

This session will include opportunities for full and small group discussion, reflection and Q&A about scenarios in your school.
