February 6, 2018, 2:00 - 4:00 PM - Worcester Academy, Worcester, MA
Developing Your Professional Value and Building A Secure Financial Future
As a senior school administrator it is important to understand your value and worth and earn proper recognition and compensation for your work. Having a clear understanding of your professional value is important in managing your career. Learn about looking beyond a bigger paycheck and understand the different compensation levers/trade-offs available to ensure that you are informed and able to best represent yourself in a meaningful way in compensation negotiations. This session is lead by Kathy Chery, CFO, The Cambridge School of Weston, and Ingrid Tucker, Head of School, Cambridge Montessori.
We will explore relationships between heads of school and administrators of color. Namely, senior administrators of color, who partner with heads of school to advance the mission of their school, especially, but not exclusively, as it pertains to equity and inclusion. What does each person in this partnership stand to gain? What does the school community stand to gain? What are potential challenges to navigating this relationship?
We will hear the stories and lessons from two such partnerships: Ralph Wales and Kim Ridley from The Gordon School, and David Stettler and Angela Garcia from The Fessenden School, followed by an opportunity for question and answer.
This event is complimentary. Please RSVP here by Friday, April 20th for planning purposes, thank you!
